While at first glance you may not expect there to be a strong connection between the cold, dreich, dourness of The Scottish Islands and the warm, sunny, easy-going Caribbean, you would be wrong and apart from the weather and approximately 4,500 miles, the two have much in common. High on that list of similarities comes a particular island humor and a love and appreciation of their national drinks, whisky and rum.
